The Youth Hostel

Built in 1931, the former "école blanche" building is part of the historical patrimony of Sept-Îles. In 1982, "Le Tangon" Youth Hostel took over the building and opened its doors to the public. Whether it's for one night, one week or even more, you can be sure of a relaxing time at the warmly decorated and colorful "Le Tangon". Brigitte and her team are always on hand to welcome you with a smile. You will immediately feel at home and will be taken aback by the family oriented atmosphere of the Hostel and the kindness of the people who live there. Improvised musical performances in the evening add to the enchanting atmosphere of "Le Tangon". Almost unique on the North Shore, it is a place where people come together, share experiences and become friends.

North Shore

Few places offers as much natural beauty with all advantages of a modern city. Beaches, a unique archipelago, majestic rivers, an animal reserve and varied marine life invite travelers to escape and relax. The North Coast offers visitors quaint villages and historical sites.

Activities

On the Whale road, discover a town wich is made unique by its dynamic population and its exeptional natural surroundings. Attractions include an amazing archipelago, long sandy beaches, countless rivers and even a boreal forest. To this, a wide range of cultural, recreational and sports activities can be added, each more interesting and exciting.

Accomodation

"Le Tangon" international Youth Hostel has 40 beds. This includes 3 dormitories of 6 beds and 13 private rooms which house between 1 and 3 people. Bathrooms are located on each floor. Bedding is provided free of charge. We are pleased to welcome families and groups. Reserve in advance.

Services

The hostel offers everything you need to make your stay both comfortable and enjoyable. Our well-equipped, airy and bright kitchen will satisfy the needs of even the most demanding chefs. The living room, equipped with musical instruments and children's games, and the TV room are calm places where you can escape for a while and relax. Outside, there is a landscaped courtyard where you can make the most of the warm summer days and admire the stars at night around the fire. "Le Tangon" also offers laundry facilities. Internet access is available in the hostel.
